Health & Safety

If you think health and safety has to be complicated…It doesn’t. We can remove the confusion and provide you with cost effective solutions to manage your health and safety requirements.

In general, health and safety laws apply to all businesses. As an employer, or a self-employed person, you are responsible for health and safety in your business. Health and safety laws are there to protect you, your employees and the public from workplace dangers.

We can assist you in creating, developing and reviewing your:

  • Health and Safety Policies
  • Plans for controlling the risks in your business
  • Risk Assessments
  • CDM – Construction Plans
  • Arrangements for consulting with your employees
  • Employee Health & Safety training
  • Arrangements for first aid, accidents and ill health
  • Your Legal requirements for managing health and safety
  • Keeping you up-to-date on the latest legislation

Our knowledge and professional experience over the last 20 years will help you cut through the red tape whilst ensuring you keep within the Law.

We can assist you in developing specific user friendly, common sense health and safety policies and procedures. This will protect your workforce, reduce absenteeism, maintain production and reduce any potential Liability Claims.

Site Inspections

Site inspections can be carried out at any site by our Health and Safety consultants. The ratio of inspections can be either set at the outset of a contract, be included as part of our Service Option 2 package, or be carried out randomly upon your request.

Each site inspection will be recorded on our inspection sheet, or client format, and a copy left on site for actioning. An additional copy of the inspection report will be forwarded by email to your organisation within 48 hours of the inspection.

As our site inspections are carried out by health and safety consultants with a solid industry background, the advice given will be both practical and compliant. We will never leave a Site Manager confused over what action to take, or with questions unanswered. At NewStart 2001, we believe that health and safety compliance through education and teamwork will always achieve better results than total enforcement. This also helps to form a better working relationship between the site management and the health and safety consultant, assisting the health and safety management of the site continues after the consultant has left.
